week 4

The youth is growing each week, this week we had 62 students! that is the most we have ever had. I enjoy spending time with kids. We are starying to bring our skateboards and skate a bit before and after service. there are seeral of us that kate and many more want to join but don't have a board yet. For the hotter days I am planning a trip to the skate park.
I played in the worship again this week but I am encouraging a student there thats not involved to make it to practices so he can play and feel as part of the youth.
There is a student there named Haydin there that is really struggling in his walk and is school work. He had already been held back a grade and it doesn't look like he will graduate out of Jr. high this year. He problem is paying attention. I really want to help him but I caqn never get the words out, or I don;t know what to say. so if there is any suggestions tell me I would like to know. He is the only child so for noe I am being an older brother to him.
for this week I could use some prayer in studying for mid terms, because right now I am ot sure how my grades are doing.

Dave,
I don't know exactely what you tell a student to do if they are having trouble paying attention. You might try asking proff Gunsalus what to do in that situation. Just keep talking to him and encouraging him to do well in school and to be dedicated to doing his homework. Maybe you can have accountability with him about doing his homework?
